Uniform

Visitors often comment about our uniform because the children look so smart wearing it. We believe a smart appearance aids a smart mind. Our school uniform can be purchased from nu:uniforms in Chorley.  Uniforms can also be purchased from an outlet of your choice.

Our school colours are Royal blue and white.

School Uniform consists of the following: –

  • White polo shirt (no blouses or shirts)
  • Royal Blue Cardigan or Jumper
  • Charcoal grey trousers, shorts, skirt or pinafore.
  • Grey or white socks (with dresses and skirts)
  • Plain, dark socks (with shorts and trousers)
  • Charcoal grey tights
  • Black shoes (no boots, sandals or trainers)

Summer Term only

Light blue gingham summer dress (optional)

Indoor PE

Royal Blue shorts
Sky Blue polo shirt
Black Pumps
Outdoor PE
Grey Hooded Sweatshirt (Optional)
Trainers

Outdoor clothing

Pupils should bring a coat to school each day, apart from during the hotter weather. Boots
should not be worn inside the school buildings. Sun hats should be worn outside during
the hotter summer months.

Footwear

Pupils must wear closed-toed, hard-soled, all black plain shoes with a flat sole.
Boots are not allowed.
Footwear with flashing lights are strongly discouraged.
Black laces should be worn with shoes.
Open-toed sandals should not be worn, even in the Summer Term.
In the case of extreme weather children can wear boots to school but must change into a pair of shoes on arrival.

Pupils can wear trainers or black plimsolls for outdoor PE lessons. Barefoot work is under-taken for indoor gymnastic and dance lessons.

Hairstyles

Pupils’ hair should be neatly groomed, and tidy at all times. Long hair on both girls and boys should be tied back neatly. Pupils may not wear designs or words cut into their hair or permanent or temporary coloured hair.

Hair accessories, including large bows, flowers and animal ears and unicorn style headbands are not allowed.

Plain, thin headbands and simple slides/ bobbles (or a scrunchy) are allowed in the school colours.

Fingernail Polish or Make-Up

Pupils are not allowed to wear fingernail polish or false nails. Make-up is not allowed.

Jewellery/Accessories

Pupils may wear a watch (with no sound effects, cameras or games). In the interests of health and safety, pupils may wear one pair of small, stud earrings which must be worn in the lower ear lobe. All studs must be removed for PE by the pupil or taken out at home. Studs earrings that cannot be removed by the pupil for PE lessons will be covered with a plaster or tape.
